11.5. Removal of air from the brake system

GENERAL INFORMATION

Removal of air is carried out after opening of hydraulic contours of brakes, and also always when the pedal of a brake becomes "soft" and it is necessary to press it several times that brakes began to work.

It is impossible to unscrew deaerators of back brakes when the hydraulic accumulator is under pressure and also if the pedal of a brake is pressed. The hydraulic brake feeds a contour of back brakes under pressure of 18 MPas.

Before performance of any actions which can be followed by an effluence of brake fluid it is necessary to lower surely pressure in the accumulator by strong pressing about 20 times on a brake pedal.

At service, adjustment and repair of brakes it is impossible to include ignition if it is not demanded by the instruction for service.

It is necessary to use the brake fluid recommended by firm manufacturer of the car and to pour it from original, just open capacities.

During removal of air from brakes it is necessary to support all the time the required level of brake fluid in a tank.

Removal of air from a contour of forward brakes

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To put on the deaerator of a forward brake a transparent tube from artificial material. To lower other end of a tube in the transparent capacity filled with brake fluid.
2. To press a brake pedal. If she does not show resistance, then it is necessary to press her until she begins to show considerable resistance.
3. At the pressed pedal of a brake to weaken the deaerator. To hold a pedal all the time, the coming-up vials of air are visible so far.
4. To screw up the deaerator and to release a brake pedal.
5. To repeat two last operations until brake fluid without vials of air does not begin to follow from a tube.
6. In the same way to remove air from a contour of the second forward brake.

Removal of air from a contour of back brakes

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To put on the deaerator of a back brake a transparent tube (it is specified by an arrow) from artificial material. To lower other end of a tube in the transparent capacity filled with brake fluid.
2. To press a brake pedal.
3. To weaken the deaerator.
4. To include ignition. It will put the hydraulic pump in action and brake fluid will begin to follow from a tube. It is necessary to wait until the following liquid contains vials of air.
5. To release a pedal of a brake and to screw up the deaerator.
6. To switch off ignition and to wait, the hydraulic pump will not stop yet.
7. To repeat these actions for removal of air from a contour of the second back brake.
