14.1. Technical characteristic

GENERAL INFORMATION

ACCUMULATOR

The accumulator of 12 V and with a capacity of 50 or 60 Ach is used. The negative pole of the accumulator is connected to the mass of the car. The given current in a starter operating mode at a temperature of -18 °C: 270 or 360 And.

GENERATOR

The three-phase generator with the built-in electronic regulator is used. On a rotor the excitement winding with two contact rings is located. Magnetic field in the generator is created by current in an excitement winding which arrives through graphite brushes and contact rings. Position of magnetic field concerning a stator winding constantly changes at rotation of a rotor therefore in a winding of the stator there is an alternating voltage. Diodes will transform alternating current in constant, and the regulator of tension supports constant tension size, irrespective of the frequency of rotation of the generator.

STARTER

Brand: Bosch, Lucas, Cajavec or Nippondenso.

The starter represents the powerful electric motor capable to untwist a bent shaft of the engine of the car to 300 rpm that it is enough for its start. The starter consists of the case with windings (stator), an anchor with the obgonny coupling, a collector with brush holders and the traction relay. When giving tension on a starter through a winding of the traction relay current from the accumulator proceeds and the anchor of the relay is involved, closing contacts of the relay and giving tension on the starter electric motor. At the same time the relay anchor via the lever moves the obgonny coupling with a drive gear wheel. A nave of the obgonny coupling, turning on screw vents of a shaft of an anchor of a starter, turns as well a gear wheel that facilitates input it in gearing with a flywheel wreath.

WINDSHIELD SCREEN WIPER

The screen wiper with two speeds with a possibility of faltering work and a thermobimetallic safety lock is applied. Faltering work of screen wipers is run by the electronic relay, the relay installed in the block.

SCREEN WIPER OF BACK GLASS

Brand: Bosch.

Automatically joins at turning on of the reverse gear and work of a screen wiper of a windshield.

WINDSCREEN WASHERS

All models of cars are equipped with the electric pump of a washer of a windshield. On the majority of models the pump of a washer of back glass with separate, established behind, a tank is also installed. When washers of headlights are established, they are equipped with the separate pump having a bigger tank, than the windshield washer pump.

To fill tanks only with water with the special washing additives. In the conditions of negative temperatures to apply additives with antifrizny properties or to add a small amount of methyl alcohol to water. It is not necessary to add cooling liquid from the engine cooling system – it destroys material of brushes and paint of a body.

Nozzles of washers of wind and back glasses are regulated by the hairpin inserted into a nozzle. For adjustment snuffled washers of headlights the special tool (Ford No. 32 004) is required.

In the giving hose of washers of headlights there is an unidirectional valve. If the valve is faulty, the washing liquid will flow out from a tank through nozzles.

HEATING OF WIND AND BACK GLASSES

On the Ghia cars the windshield heater representing two thin heating elements (delay) placed between two layers of a windshield is established. Heating of a windshield joins only at the working engine for the period of no more than 4 minutes (it is disconnected automatically). The current consumed by a heater – 30 amperes.

Heating of back glass joins only at the working engine. The current consumed by a heater – 20 amperes. The relay of inclusion of a heater is powered from the 61 plug of the generator and along with a heater includes heating of rear-view mirrors.

For cleaning of inside of glass use soft fabric or suede, driving it along heater threads.

Small gaps in a heater can be restored by means of the special carrying-out paint. At its use follow instructions of manufacturer.
