14.7. Additional control system


The additional control system (AWS) makes control of levels of liquid of the cooling system and washing, wear of brake shoes, air temperatures outside and work of lamps. Also the system gives a warning signal at leaky closed covers of the fuel tank and doors.

At the low level of liquids and wear of blocks control lamps on the dashboard light up. The module of the graphic display located in the dashboard gives a schematic type of the car and information on faulty lamps and leaky closed doors. The warning of possible ice is issued fire of two symbols of snowflakes on the module of the graphic display. The yellow snowflake lights up at a temperature of external air plus 4 °C and red – at a temperature of 0 °C. Information on temperature of air can be also highlighted, at will, on a digital board of hours in the top console.

At inclusion of ignition all signal lights of AWS and symbols in the module of the graphic display have to join for several seconds and then go out (symbols of a stoplight will not go out until brakes are involved for the first time). If fires remain lit, it is necessary to check appropriate level or system immediately. If there is a blinking of any fire or a symbol, the specified level or system have to be checked.

The main components of system, except signal lights and the module of the graphic display, are various sensors and assemblies of management. Sensors of level of liquids are the gerkona operated by the magnets established in floats. The alarm system of wear of brake shoes turns on after a gap about a disk of a round of a wire, vpressovanny in an overlay of a block at a depth determined by norms. All sensors, including sensors switches of leaky closed doors, have contacts, zashuntirovanny resistors that the control unit could distinguish a difference between the closed and opened contacts of sensors and the broken-off or short-circuited chains.

Control of lamps is exercised by the module of malfunctions of lamps located under a combination of devices. Control is exercised behind lamps of marker lights, back lamps and passing beam of headlights. Lamps are controlled in pairs, thus installation of a lamp not of that power even on the one hand the car causes a warning signal.

Sensors of temperature are installed under a front bumper. They represent thermistors which resistance changes at change of ambient temperature.

Assembly of control of the AWS system integrates entrance signals from various sensors and operates fire of precautionary fires and symbols. Precautionary fires of low level of liquids join with some delay necessary for avoidance of operation of the false signal caused by fluctuations of the car at the movement. If there was a malfunction in the AWS system, careful check and detection of defect have to be made by the competent expert.
