GENERAL INFORMATION

Mechanism of gear shifting of the five-speed transmission

1 – shaft of management,

DISMANTLING OF THE SECONDARY SHAFT OF THE TRANSMISSION

Dismantling of a secondary shaft

1 – sealing ring,

2 – gear wheel of the 1st transfer,

3 – ring of the synchronizer of the 1st transfer,

4 – synchronizer of 1-2 transfers

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To remove a lock ring and to shift the synchronizer of the third and fourth transfers together with a gear wheel of the third transfer from a forward part of a secondary shaft, using, if necessary, a stripper. To separate a gear wheel and the synchronizer, then to remove the synchronizing ring of the third transfer.
2. To remove an external ring from a gear wheel of the second transfer, then to take two adjusting half rings.
3. To shift a gear wheel of the second transfer through a forward part of a main shaft and to remove the synchronizing ring of the second transfer.
4. To note the mutual provision of a nave of the synchronizer of the first and second transfers and the plug from each other and a fork flute arrangement, then to shift the plug from a nave forward and to remove clamps and springs. The nave of the synchronizer cannot be removed from a secondary shaft.
5. To remove a speedometer drive gear wheel from a back part of a secondary shaft.
6. To remove the block of synchronization of the fifth transfer and the conducted gear wheel of the fifth transfer from a main shaft.
7. To take the lock ring holding the bearing of a secondary shaft then to establish an average case on wooden whetstones and to take a secondary shaft via the bearing.
8. Remove a ring, a gear wheel of the first transfer and a ring of synchronization of the first transfer.
9. If necessary to remove a lock ring and to take the bearing from an average case, using a metal tube. To remove synchronizers, previously having noted a relative arrangement of a nave and the plug. To shift the plug from a nave and to remove blocking cores and springs.

ASSEMBLY OF THE SECONDARY SHAFT

Installation of a gear wheel of the drive of a speedometer


Size A = 123,5 ± 0,5 mm.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before assembly to oil for the transmission of a surface of the interacting details.
2. In a middle part of a case of the transmission to install the bearing of a secondary shaft and to fix a lock ring of this bearing.
3. To establish spring rings on naves of synchronizers.
4. To establish a ring of the synchronizer of the 1st transfer and a gear wheel of the 1st transfer on a secondary shaft.
5. To establish on a secondary shaft a sealing ring by working edges in the direction from the bearing.
6. To install the bearing, a secondary shaft and a lock ring in a middle part of a case of the transmission.
7. To establish a gear wheel of the 5th transfer, a sealing ring and the synchronizer of the 5th transfer on a secondary shaft.
8. To establish a speedometer drive gear wheel on a secondary shaft. To observe distance And = 123 ± 0,5 mm (see rice. Installation of a gear wheel of the drive of a speedometer).
9. To install the synchronizer of 1-2 transfers on a secondary shaft. The flute (for forks) on the sliding coupling of this synchronizer has to be directed forward.
10. To establish a synchronizer ring, a gear wheel of the 2nd transfer and two adjusting half rings and a lock ring. The opening arrangement for persistent half rings of the second transfer is specified by an arrow.
11. To establish a gear wheel of the 3rd transfer, the synchronizer of 3-4 transfers and a lock ring on a secondary shaft.
12. If the synchronizer understood, then at its assembly it is necessary to pay attention that the flute on the sliding coupling was directed forward.

DISMANTLING AND ASSEMBLY OF THE BLOCK OF GEAR WHEELS OF THE INTERMEDIATE SHAFT

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Dismantling of the block of gear wheels of an intermediate shaft does not represent special difficulties. It is necessary to pay attention to losing a needle of bearings and remote plugs (forward and back) needle bearings. At assembly it is necessary to install carefully two remote plugs and to cover needles of bearings with jellied lubricant that they did not drop out in the course of installation of a shaft of the block of gear wheels.
